Elmwood wins sectional title Ben Hammer came close to being perfect Tuesday.
His teammates on the Elmwood baseball team played just as well.
Hammer pitched a no-hitter for 6 1/3 innings, and Jon Aurand drilled a three-run homer and a solo homer as the Royals won a sectional championship with a 6-0 win over Liberty-Benton at Elmwood High School.

Hatfield leads Otsego past Gibsonburg Kelsey Hatfield hasn't fared so well against Gibsonburg in tournament play during her high school career.

Quilts spring out Saturday in Extension show County residents are invited to enjoy quilts, quilted items and learn quilt techniques this Saturday at the second annual Ohio State University Extension Quilt Show. It will run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Extension Office at 639 S. Dunbridge Road, Suite One, Bowling Green. The theme is "Spring into Quilts." This year there will not only be elaborate quilts on display, organizers will also be offering two "Make It, Take It!" classes from quilt expert Edith Richmond Dyke: ¥ Make It, Take It" - session one, 10 a.m. - "No Knots Please!"
